This weeks MIFF is a familiar narrative whereby two lovers anger the gods (just Zeus) and get a reasonable and rational punishment (absolute overkill and unnecessary torment). This is the story of Alycone and Ceyx, and their unlucky dice with the King of the Gods. Matt and Dan also discuss Matt’s recent trip to Dublin where he had a busman’s holiday writing poetry and drinking beer.

I see a little Miffsletto of a man!

It’s about a Musician called Arion who wins a music contest, fights Pirates with a Lyre and then rides a dolphin home (in a cool Ancient Greek way, not a sad waterpark kind of way). Happy New Miffs!
Welcome to the first episode of 2019. To celebrate the new year we thought we’d have a throw back MIFF to our old friend Perseus. In this week’s MIFF we find out what happened to Perseus after he killed Medusa and flew off into the sunset on Pegasus. Well, turns out he went on a detour, fell in love and turned lots of people to stone. Matt and Dan also discuss their New Year’s eve experiences.

Rey Miffsterio (I don't know who that is - apparently a wrestler)
This weeks MIFF is about Zeus transforming into a bull and abducting a poor young woman. Unlike other myths of a similar story, in this one we get to find out what's happening to the girls family and friends back home, as they are left to deal with this sudden tragedy. We also get to see how the girl in question deals with the horror by forming a continent - Europe. We should make a Brexit joke but frankly we're just to upset about the whole ordeal.

Miffsterio (You know, like that villain from Spiderman?)!
This week we're exploring a MIFF about a son who doesn't listen to his estranged father - who's a god. Obviously this is massively different to other Greek myths, whereby the characters listen to each other and no one is the son of a promiscuous God. That being send this one also includes Galaxies, high school bullying and racism. Matt and Dan also discuss how Matt is better at playing keyboard than a 5 year old.
