This MIFF is a continuation from the last episode, as we discover what happened to the Mead created from Kvasir’s blood. The Aesir soon get word that the Giant Suttung is in possession of the divine mead, and there’s no chance in hell they’re letting a Giant have access to something that gives you wisdom and poetic inspiration. So, in true Norse Mythology style, Odin decides to put on a disguise and travel to Jottenhiem himself to get the mead back to Asgard.

This time it’s the turn of ‘The Master Builder’, a mysterious man who enters Asgard and offers to build the Gods the strongest, tallest wall in the known universe to protect them from their enemies. The Gods oblige his offer but there are quite a few catches. Also, Matt and Dan discuss Dan’s recent travels in Jordan.

In this week’s episode Odin leaves Asgard on a quest to gain unrivalled knowledge. The universe isn’t always ready to give up its secrets easily. Odin soon learns that to become all powerful and all knowing you have to make sacrifices. After meeting with the oracle Mimir, Odin learns that the sacrifices are super difficult, excruciatingly painful and life changing. However, he’s head of the Aesir with a reputation to uphold, so he carries on regardless. Dan also tells more tales of his hostelling experiences.
