It’s finally happened! After trying for the last ten years, Odysseus has made it home to the island of Ithaca. Congratulations. Although there is now the small matter of dealing with the group of angry, violent men (suitors) who have taken siege of his house. How will Odysseus prevail to win back his wife and throne? Easy. Use disguises and hang out with a pig farmer named Eumaeus. Also Matt and Dan discuss topics like the weather and ballet.

This instalment features a narrative pattern that is usually unseen in classical mythology – Humans ignoring advice and getting punished by giant, man-eating creatures. Spoiler alert - he was being kidnapped on an island by a goddess Calypso. There's some Grade A Stockholm Syndrome going on and he eventually leaves...only to be found 17 days later washed up on another island! He just can't catch a break! Matt and Dan also discuss Dan's testicle and why he made Matt sleep on a sofa once.
